This year at Fool’s Journey we will be working with tarot card of The High Priestess.

Below is a brief outline of what each of us will be sharing with you. Also, I'd like to bring your attention to the link to the left - We're also listing some of the other things that will also be offered this year by our attendees.   

THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF PRIESTESSING

Deborah Oak shares the highs and lows from her lifetime of priestessing. She will discuss the two magical traditions she has been initiated into; Reclaiming and Feri. What does it mean to embrace a tradition? What does it mean to be a priestess? What is initiation and how do you know if it is right for you? What are the perils and privileges of the path of the priestess? Questions will be asked, and invoking the power of the High Priestess of the Tarot, we will look within for answers.

THE FOUR QUEENS

The year of the High Priestess has inspired me to look at the other images of powerful women in the tarot. Like the High Priestess calls us to look deep with in ourselves to find our source of power, the queens of the Tarot (Queen of Wands, Queen of Swords, Queen of Cups, and Queen of Pentacles) call us to look deep with in the elements to find our knowing of how to call upon their energies and powers.

In this brief encounter with the four queens, we will look at how they rule their element and use their tools. We will call upon them for divination. We will call upon our own inner queen. We will be daring and ambitious. Of course, gender does not matter. There is a queen inside everyone just waiting to Rule.

LIGHT AND SHADOW

Being a Priestess often means stepping into the spotlight and stretching yourself. While being a leader can gift us with power & attention, it isn't simply about accolades and gratitude. Stepping into leadership is also about exposing yourself to vulnerability. What is the shadow side of your power? With journaling, improv games, and magic, we will look at what are the risks of being a priestess, including projections, fears, self-esteem issues, and fatigue.

It is through knowing and working with our shadow that we can be our best priestess selves.

TRANCING, DANCING AND ROMANCING YOUR HIGH PRIESTESS

Recognizing, appreciating and embodying our own unique forms of power is a practice that requires regular insight and maintenance. In this class, we will tease out the silly and profound fabulousness that is our high-priestess-selves. Using trance, guided visualizations, group discussion and games we will come into more intimate contact with this confidant and knowing energy that dwells within each of us, and deepen our awareness of what she needs in order to restore and thrive so that we may more fully offer her to the world.
