About Four Springs Retreat Center
Come join us on the beautiful grounds of Four Springs and experience the
sacredness within each of us.
Four
Springs has been operated as a retreat since 1956. It has been a home to retreats
and seminars in religion and psychology for fifty years. Four Springs
has become a sacred place for generations of seekers whose spiritual
work has shaped Four Springs and been nourished by it.
Four Springs is secluded at the end of our Road on 280 acres of woods in the foothills beneath Mount Saint
Helena, in southern Lake County. All of our clear, refreshing water
comes from natural springs on the retreat.
The site has a wonderful art
studio, library, seminar room and the meditation room has stained glass
for the 4 directions. The ritual meadow has a stone in the center, a
large willow tree to the side and trees in the 4 directions too! Oh,
yes, don't forget there is a pool too. And long hiking trails along
which you can see their standing stones, a meadow, the orchard and an
oak they call tree beard.
The
site is not really accessible-friendly since the grounds are rough and
many steps. However, that being said, the main lodge does have a ramp
to the dining area.
Most
of the cabins are 2 twins to a room. Some have a bathroom, most
don't. There is a shared bathroom/shower building near them. The
bedding is supplied. Also they have lights, a desk, a heater and
windows!
